Dan Griggs' Art
Here's some of my artwork. I started painting at about age 11. I worked mainly
in watercolor. I like the feel of working the paint quickly. There's an urgency
with the medium that no other one has. I've done a lot more than this but haven't
had time to photograph all of them yet. Most of these are from many years ago so
don't judge my ability on them. The most recent on this page is "On The Right Track" done in 2012.
1st watercolor, ever!
I've always been fascinated by buildings and their relation to their surroundings.
Bishop Sump
This is a scene from the neighborhood I grew up in. Bishop High was just to the
right of these apartments.
On The Right Track
Seen while waiting for a train. It really was.

Urban View
Depot c. 1910
Downtown Torrance.
Tropic Wall
Winslow Homer was one of my favorite artists. Sort of a tribute
to his work.
Hour of Madness
This is the Fine Arts Theatre in L.A. The marquis is the same as the title.
It was the name of my comedy radio show in college.
American Dream
Used to drive by this "divorce" sign, thought it ironic next to the
house, the symbol of the american dream.
